If I were a foundry executive, with responsibility for building a winning team, whether
Department Manager, Foundry Manager, HR Exec or CEO, here's what I'd want from a recruiter-
- a steady stream, as available, of information about qualified and available candidates who had a good chance of fitting in and helping my organization become stronger- with it up to me whether I chose to act on
that information or not
- I'd want to see more than the resumes everybody else was seeing
- I'd want a recruiter to know me and my organization-, its challenges and opportunities, its obstacles and competitive advantages
- I'd like to discuss my organization's strategies and needs for the future, and be able to rely on that information being handled with professional discretion, confidentiality and detachment
- I'd want somebody who I knew worked in support of me and was on my side
- I'd want my firm represented professionally, and candidates being considered by my firm to be treated the way I'd want to be treated
